At Estepona Dive Center, we take great pride in offering our customers unforgettable diving experiences, whether you’re diving locally, taking a course, or embarking on an exciting group adventure. We understand that life can be full of surprises, and sometimes, plans may need to be changed or adjusted. That’s why we’ve established a clear and fair refund and cancellation policy to ensure that any changes to your booking are handled as smoothly as possible. Our aim is to provide flexibility, while also ensuring that all our divers and guests are treated with fairness and respect.
Please read through our cancellation and refund guidelines below so you can plan your diving experience with confidence. Whether you need to modify your dive dates or request a refund, our team is here to assist you every step of the way.
Payments
All courses and activities must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Payments are accepted by cash, bank transfer, Revolut, or PayPal.
Dive Cancellation
If a dive is canceled by Estepona Dive Center due to adverse weather or sea conditions, clients will receive a full refund or credit for the affected dive(s).
We prioritize your safety and will make all cancellation decisions based on professional assessments of conditions.
Non-Transferability
All courses, dives, and bookings are non-transferable.
Registrations are assigned to the individual participant and cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances.
Course Preparation & Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and safe experience, all students are required to:
Arrive on time at the correct meeting point.
Have all PADI eLearning / course theory fully completed before arrival.
Submit all required forms and medical declarations prior to the start of the course.
Failure to meet these requirements will result in forfeiture of the scheduled training day(s) and a rescheduling fee will apply:
€150 if notice is given before the first training day.
€250 if you arrive unprepared, fail to complete eLearning, or do not show up on the scheduled start date.
This fee reflects the cost of lost training days, instructor time, and reserved course space.
Future course dates are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
It is each participant’s responsibility to be punctual, prepared, and compliant with all course requirements.
No-Show & Late Arrival Policy
A maximum 30-minute grace period is allowed beyond your scheduled start time.
After this period, the session will be considered a no-show, and no refunds will be given.
It is the client’s responsibility to arrive on time, fully prepared, and at the correct meeting point.
Our schedule and other clients’ activities cannot be delayed for late arrivals.
Please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time for parking, traffic, or locating the dive site.
Client Responsibility:
- Customers are fully responsible for the care and condition of any rental equipment provided to them by Estepona Dive Center.
- In the event of loss, damage, or theft of equipment, the client is required to pay the full replacement cost of the item(s). A price list of replacement costs is available upon request.
Inspection of Equipment:
- Clients are encouraged to carefully inspect all rental equipment before use.
- If a client identifies any issue with the condition or functionality of the equipment, they must notify their instructor or guide immediately prior to the dive.
- Once equipment is accepted and the dive begins, it is assumed that the client has found it to be in proper working condition.
Fair Use Policy:
- Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and in a manner that adheres to safe diving practices.
- Any misuse or negligence that results in damage will require the client to cover repair or replacement costs.
Payment for Damaged or Lost Items:
- Payment for damaged or lost equipment must be settled before the client leaves the dive center or as otherwise agreed with the management.
- Receipts for the replacement or repair will be provided upon request.
Agreement to Terms:
- By renting equipment from Estepona Dive Center, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to this policy. If there are any questions or concerns, clients should discuss them with a member of our team prior to the rental.
