Getting There

Thailand is well-connected with international flights to major airports like Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui. From there, domestic flights, ferries, and private transfers make reaching top dive destinations like Koh Tao, Phuket, and the Similan Islands seamless. Airlines like Thai Airways, AirAsia, and Bangkok Airways provide frequent domestic routes.

If you book a full package with Estepona Dive Center, we’ll ensure all land and sea transfers are arranged for you. Taxis, motorbike rentals, and public transport are also available for additional travel, but we recommend seeking local assistance for convenience.

Climate

Thailand enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round, ranging from 28°C to 35°C. The dry season from November to April is the best time for diving, offering calm seas and excellent visibility. The rainy season from May to October brings occasional downpours but can still be a good time for certain dive areas. Water temperatures hover between 27°C and 30°C.

In-Water Protection

A 3mm wetsuit or dive skin is recommended for most divers. Sensitive individuals may prefer slightly thicker protection.

Where To Stay

Thailand offers diverse accommodation options, from budget-friendly guesthouses to luxury resorts. Liveaboards are also a fantastic way to maximize your diving experience, especially for remote sites like Richelieu Rock or the Similan Islands.

Activities

Beyond diving, explore Thailand’s rich culture and stunning landscapes. Visit temples in Bangkok, snorkel in emerald lagoons, or relax on white-sand beaches. Island hopping, jungle trekking, and sampling Thai cuisine are must-do activities.

Thailand offers flexibility in accommodations, whether you prefer staying onshore in a resort or embarking on a liveaboard adventure.

Hotels & Resorts: Stay in Phuket, Khao Lak, or Koh Phi Phi, with options ranging from budget-friendly hotels to five-star luxury resorts.

Liveaboards: For those seeking immersive diving, liveaboard trips ranging from 3 nights to over a week offer unparalleled access to the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, and Hin Daeng.

  • Accommodation in a comfortable hotel or resort (options range from budget to luxury).
