Search and Recovery Diver – Find Lost Items Underwater
Master search patterns and recovery techniques. Learn how to earn your certification and recover lost items from the underwater world.
The PADI Search and Recovery Course is designed to teach divers how to locate and retrieve lost items underwater. Using specialized search patterns and recovery techniques, this course equips you with practical skills for both recreational and professional purposes.
What You’ll Learn:
During the course, you’ll learn:
- How to use search patterns to locate small or large objects underwater.
- Safe techniques for lifting heavy objects using lift bags.
- Effective underwater communication during search and recovery operations.
Course prerequisites: Must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Open Water Diver with a PADI Underwater Navigator certification
Minimum age: 12 years old
Duration: 2-3 days (dives must be completed over at least two days).
Total Dives: 4
During the Search and Rescue Diver course, your instructor will ask you to:
- Practice different types of underwater search patterns.
- Learn how to use a lift bag to recover objects.
- Gain hands-on experience during four dives, where you’ll locate items of varying sizes.
- On your final dive, plan and execute a mock search operation, putting all your training into practice.
The Search and Recovery Diver course teaches you how to recover lost objects underwater using specialized techniques and equipment.
Divers aged 12 or older with an Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent can enroll in the Search and Recovery Diver course.
You’ll learn search patterns, how to lift heavy objects safely, and how to use recovery tools like reels, lift bags, and slings.
The course takes 2 days to complete, with 4 dives included in your training.
This course is ideal for divers interested in helping recover lost items or enhancing their diving skills for rescue operations.
Payments:
- All courses must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
- Payments can be made via our accepted methods, either in person or through our online booking system.
Course Cancellation:
- If a dive is canceled by Estepona Dive Center due to adverse weather or sea conditions, clients will receive a full refund for the affected dive(s).
- We prioritize your safety and will make decisions regarding cancellations based on professional assessments of the conditions.
Non-Transferability:
- All courses, dives, and associated bookings are non-transferable. Bookings and course registrations are assigned to the individual and cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances.
Client Responsibilities:
- Estepona Dive Center reserves the right to reschedule or cancel activities due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, sea conditions, or instructor availability. In such cases, affected clients will be notified as soon as possible and offered either a refund or an alternative date.
No-Show Policy:
- No refunds will be given for no-shows or late arrivals that result in missed sessions. Please ensure you arrive on time and are prepared for your scheduled activities.
