The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience introduces you to the magic of breathing underwater in a safe and supportive environment. Perfect for beginners, this one-day experience gives you a taste of the underwater world, guided by an experienced PADI Professional. Whether you’re curious about scuba or looking to add excitement to your vacation, this is your gateway to exploring beneath the waves.
What You’ll learn:
How to use basic scuba gear.
Key safety rules and hand signals.
Basic underwater skills in shallow, calm water.
Course Prerequisites: None
Minimum age: 10 years old
Duration: 3-4 hours
Total Dives: 1 Confined / 1 Open Water
This is an experience, not a certification course. However, participants will:
Complete a safety briefing and equipment orientation.
Practice fundamental skills like breathing through a regulator and clearing a mask.
Enjoy a shallow water dive under close supervision, typically up to 12 meters/40 feet, depending on local regulations and conditions.
The Discover Scuba Diving program is an introductory experience that lets you try scuba diving in a controlled environment under the guidance of a PADI Professional.
This experience is perfect for anyone aged 10 or older who has always wanted to try scuba diving but isn’t ready to commit to a full certification course.
No prior scuba diving experience is required, although basic swimming skills and comfort in the water are recommended.
The experience lasts approximately 3–4 hours, including a briefing, skills practice, and your first open water dive.
All necessary scuba equipment, including mask, fins, regulator, BCD, and tank, will be provided for your session.
No, Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification course, but it’s a great introduction if you wish to continue with a full PADI Open Water Diver certification.
Payments:
- All courses must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
- Payments can be made via our accepted methods, either in person or through our online booking system.
Course Cancellation:
- If a dive is canceled by Estepona Dive Center due to adverse weather or sea conditions, clients will receive a full refund for the affected dive(s).
- We prioritize your safety and will make decisions regarding cancellations based on professional assessments of the conditions.
Non-Transferability:

- All courses, dives, and associated bookings are non-transferable. Bookings and course registrations are assigned to the individual and cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances.
Client Responsibilities:

- Estepona Dive Center reserves the right to reschedule or cancel activities due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather, sea conditions, or instructor availability. In such cases, affected clients will be notified as soon as possible and offered either a refund or an alternative date.
No-Show Policy:

- No refunds will be given for no-shows or late arrivals that result in missed sessions. Please ensure you arrive on time and are prepared for your scheduled activities.
